A Day of Scrappin'!

HOWDY ALL!

I can't believe ALL I have accomplished in the last 16 hours! I been playing with the Design Dollies!! LOL!! I did this layout for their Color Challenge, I had to use Kraft, and BRIGHT colors, I used these pics of my youngest grandson, Braxton. The stars I cut with my Cricut and I got them free from Pinky:
This is also the Reader's Reveal Sketch today over at Creative Scrappers, the sketch is by Laura Whitaker:
This layout is also for Design Dollies, it's their elements challenge, I had to use this recipe:

1) 3 Different Patterned papers, SAME manufacturer, I used Bo Bunny's Love Bandit
2) A tag
3) An UNCOLORED stamped image
4) RED ribbon(s)
5) Something lime green

This layout is for Sassy Lil' Sketches:

This layout is for Creative Scrappers Sketch 101:

And this last layout I used Creative Scrappers Sketch #79, it was for a Challenge on a Yahoo Group:

Gotta LOVE a WIN~WIN situation! LOL!

I am posting these layouts in the order I completed them. First up is the sketch from Sketchy Thursday:

This sketch is by Katla Adams:
and this sketch is by Zarah Peterson:

And here is the last layout, I WILL NOT admit how long I sat and played with the flowers and flourishes on this one! LOL! This is for Stuck on U Sketches, they have a Blog hop going on and I was SO INSPIRED by the awesome DT!! You were suppose to use Glitz paper, but I don't have any!(maybe that will change if I win!) :)

Stuck On U Sketches

HOWDY ALL!

Here is a Layout I made for 3 different challenges.
I decided to join in the fun over at Scrapbooking Cottage's First Anniversary, I had to use the Birthday pic here for inspiration, and I chose to do the pics from my Granddaughter's First Birthday and also used polka dot paper, which I did purchase from The Scrapbook Cottage!!. I'm not good at using pics to make layouts, frazzles my little pea brain! LOL! SO, I used the sketch from Stuck On U Sketches, and it also goes along with Scrap Your Crap Challenge 52 Floss It Up.

The stamps and paper is Imaginisce All Kinds of Happy. Here is a close up of the cupcake, I colored it in with colored pencils and used Liquid Applique to make the "icing":

Here is a close up of the flower I made with embroidery floss and buttons:

My Minds Eye Challenge 10 DREAM BIG

HOWDY ALL!

I had seen the new challenge over at My Minds Eye and was a little intrigued when I seen it, it definitely "CHALLENGED" me. I had to use the song; Dream Big by Ryan Shupe & The RubberBand, I could use anything - the title, a line, the entire song... AND I had to use this sketch:

SO, after MANY days of "thinking" and looking at the sketch and the song, I decided to use the line, "when you smile be sure to smile wide". I remembered these pics of my granddaughter Abby and her putting on her new "lick-stick" that I had gave her. I flipped the sketch a bit, but am THRILLED with how it turned out.

I had to use at least 80% of My Minds Eye products. I DID!! LOL!! The only thing that isn't MME is the letter stickers, chalk, pop dots and adhesive. OF COURSE, the paper isn't from one collection it is from 5 different collections, but they worked well together, so I went with it! I used Bloom & Grow-Pink Paisley (which I hand cut the spirals and flourishes from), Bella Bella-Dark Brown Polka Dots, Pretty Please-Flower Drops and Pretty Please Stripes and Breaking Free-Shabby Dots, and Lush Brown Chipboard Letter Stickers.

This is a close up of Bloom & Grow Pink Paisley. I just chalked it to make it look like it had some dimension to it, but it is flat.
here is a close-up of my gorgeous little Princess and her "pretty" smile, you can also see the pop dots on my little circles.

Well, that's all for today, so far anyways! LOL! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

3 Layouts!!

HOWDY ALL!

I was in SCRAPPIN' mode yesterday!! I completed 3 layouts and am THRILLED with how they all turned out. But, before I share, I want to make sure EVERYONE who stops by goes over and checks out the Scrapbooking Cottage and become a fan, Stacy is giving away GOODIES!! GOOD LUCK!!

Here is my first layout, it is for the May Guest Design Team Challenge over at Sketchy Thursday, the prompts were:

Prompt: Celebrations (in honor of my birthday today!)

Color: Green (my favorite!)

The sketch: One of my all-time fave sketches by Diana (known affectionately as "the 924")

I chose this pic of Danny and Sarah on their wedding day:

Here is my second layout, it is for the Creative Scrappers "The Nook" Reveal Challenge:

And this is the last layout I completed yesterday. I used the Readers Reveal Sketch from April 13th at Creative Scrappers:

Here is a close-up of the pilings and seagull I cut on my Cricut, I thought they turned out pretty COOL!:

I am playing along over at Sketchy Thursday's Spring Blog Hop, and made this layout of my Granddaughter Abby coloring:

Sketchy Thursday Lawn Fawn Second Chance

HOWDY ALL!

I finished this layout last night for Sketchy Thursday's Second Chance Challenge. This is horse racing at the Recreation Center where my parent's winter in Texas. You place your nickel bet on what horse you think will win. Everyone takes a turn rolling dice to see how many steps the horse will go. We played along and had a GREAT time, but not near as much fun as my Granddaughter Cricket. Her and Papa (who was betting) won EVERY time as they paid for all horses EVERY race!! LOL! She wanted to make sure she WON!!
This will go with this page:
Here they are together:

Stuck On U Sketches

HOWDY ALL!

I played along this week over at Stuck On U Sketches, they had a challenge to use an UNUSUAL item on a layout. SO, I decided to use pics of our Moving Day, and used corrugated cardboard as the base for my pics. Here it is, this was a CHALLENGE, but I LOVE how it turned out.

Here is a close-up of the cardboard:

Creative Scrappers Layout

HOWDY ALL!

I am trying to get LOTS done this month, and have been trying to do a sketch a day from what is posted over at Creative Scrappers.

Here is the layout I made using the sketch posted today:

Here is a close-up of the title:

"Me-Ma make them watch me dance", this is my Granddaughter Abby, she wanted to dance at our wedding, but she just had to have EVERYONE watching her. So, of course, I made the announcement that they ALL needed to watch Abby Dance!! She thought it was just GREAT! LOL!

Rockin' it with LIVE LOUD!

HOWDY ALL!

I finally got around to using some of my LIVE LOUD collection that I won from Imaginisce. I LOVE these papers! I am going to do my VERY BEST to see how many layouts I can make using them! LOL!

I used the April Sketch from Imaginisce to create this layout:

I couldn't find a  .svg file to make the lines for the music notes, so I did them the ol' fashion way! I printed them out on a piece of paper and then taped it to my window and then I used my pen to make them!! Hey whatever works, right? LOL!

This is my Son-in-Law Dave, he was the DJ at our wedding back in September and when I seen the chipboard sticker "I am the DJ" I knew I had to use it for this pic!
