HOWDY ALL!
I have had a BLAST with Cottage Christmas from Imaginisce. I made a Christmas card, layout and then my Countdown to Christmas:
Here is my card:
and my layout. This is of all 4 of my Grandchildren that was taken on Saturday evening after we put up the Christmas Tree. Of course, this is picture number 12!! WOW, getting the 4 of them to sit still, look at the camera and smile was a WORKOUT, but SO WORTH IT!! I used the sketch this week over at
Sketchy Thursday.
And here is my Countdown to Christmas that I HOPE will become a Family Heirloom! OH MY I LOVE how it turned out, just the way I pictured it in my head!! LOVE when that happens!! LOL!
I found this canvas with a snow scene that had been painted on it for $3.00 at the local thrift store. I KNEW when I seen it what I was going to use it for and just kept thinking and looking and FINALLY after 15 hours of playing with it, it is done and I AM THRILLED with it!!
Here is a close up of the tree. I cut the strips on my Cricut with Makes The Cut and then put them together and inked the edges. My daughter added the bling to it with her i-rock! I NEED on of those!! I had to put a picture of all 4 of my grandkids on it and I made it to where I can change it our every year!! TOO COOL!!
Here is my Snowflake topper, SO BLINGY!!
and my little scene under the tree, I used Liquid Applique to get the snow effect. TOO CUTE!
And here is my brick fireplace, OH MY, I have a new found admiration for "real life" brick layers!! HOLY COW!! I cut strips of paper 1/2" wide and then just cut them at different lengths.
My fire was the worst thing, I don't know how to color well!! LOL! But, it did turn out nice.
Here is a close-up of my Christmas banner and you can see that I built the mantle out with some cardboard.
and everyday I get to change the tag, notice the actual upholstery brad up there? I thought that was NEAT, and it was SUPER Easy to push right into the wood frame of my canvas.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!!
